Be a SPIN Fellows Career Coach!

The Role

SPIN Fellows seeks coaches working in STEM fields**, especially women of color*, to volunteer their time as coaches for our students. Please keep in mind, you will be responsible for providing support and resources to students of color, so you will need to be able to provide a culturally-responsive and uplifting coaching experience.

The SPIN Fellows program is catered to the needs of each individual student with different STEM interests and backgrounds (see list below). We are also looking for coaches who are available to speak on career panels and lead workshops on career development, college prep, study habits, stress management, social justice, etc.

Your role as a coach can have a significant impact on our students in a variety of personal, academic, and professional situations. You can serve as a connection for a young person to personal growth and development as well as social and economic opportunity. And when we make this investment in young women, the ripples of those investments are seen for generations.
