A Decade of Impact

10th Birthday Recap—Thank YOU!

On October 10, SPIN celebrated 10 years of opening doors to STEM opportunities surrounded by our team, alumni, friends, program partners, sponsors, and long-time supporters. What a night!

Guests were treated to unforgettable performances from the Dolls & Gents Drill Team and Drumline, live music from The Vinyl JP Experience, creative fun with Seattle Paint Party, and delicious food from Brown Girl Charcuterie.

The evening was more than a celebration — it was a chance to reflect on 10 years of impact and look boldly toward the next decade of STEM equity and innovation. Jon Madamba, Founder and Board Chair, shared a powerful reflection:

“SPIN matters more today than ever before because we don’t just teach STEM. We teach young people to become problem solvers, innovators and leaders who know how to adapt, to keep moving forward no matter way. Let’s celebrate every student who discovered they belong in STEM.  And let’s  look ahead with excitement to breaking more barriers, to mastering new technologies, and to create a future together.”

We have SO many people to thank for making this milestone possible. In particular we extend a special thank you to:

  • Every guest who joined us to celebrate and support the next ten years of expanding STEM opportunities in King County

  • Our SPIN staff and intern team, for their energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to the work

  • The SPIN Turns 10 planning committee, for their dedication to bringing this event to life

  • The SPIN Board of Directors, for their leadership

And a special thanks to our raffle sponsors who stepped up in support of SPIN: Alaska Airlines, Darkalino’s, Mana Vintners, Mighty-O Donuts, Mioposto, MoPop, National Nordic Museum, Finnriver Farm and Cidery, Tilth Alliance, Seattle Storm, and Seattle Sounders.

We are profoundly grateful to everyone who has been part of this story. Here’s to the next 10 years of building opportunity, equity, and innovation together!

Thank you for the continued support,
The SPIN Team
