HEART
What is HEART?
HEART is an embedded STEM enrichment and intervention program at West Seattle Elementary. We collaborate with the experts (the classroom teachers, school admin, and other West Seattle Elementary staff) to create curriculum and provide free, rigorous STEM programming to every student at West Seattle Elementary.
We strive to give every student at West Seattle Elementary (and hopefully additional schools as we grow!) access to technology, engaging STEM curriculum, and the opportunity to do what the experts in STEM fields do (problem-solving, activating the engineering design process, coding, and more). HEART wants to help every student see themselves as the scientists, engineers, programmers, and mathematicians they can be.
“HEART is incredible and more schools need a program like it! Because of our flexibility, we can adapt to the needs of individual schools and their students. HEART is here to support the brilliance already found inside our elementary schools and beyond!”
