OUR PROGRAMS

SPIN ENRICH

SPIN Enrich is our after school & summer enrichment programming. Classes are offered at no cost to families, directly and in partnership with community organizations & school districts.

HEART

Based out of West Seattle Elementary, HEART is a branch off of SPIN Enrich offering programming throughout the school day and after school.

SPIN Forward

SPIN Forward (previously SPIN Girls) offers STEM education and mentorship for students in grades 6–10. SPIN Forward is part of a larger suite of programs that includes the SPIN Fellows program.

SPIN Fellows

At the end of 10th grade, SPIN Forward scholars are invited to apply to SPIN Fellows - an individualized college & career readiness program. The highly individualized nature of this program makes it unique among other college & career preparation programs.

Young Entreprenuer Project

YEP supports youth to manifest STEM businesses by learning skills and doing hands-on training and building social emotional skills.

The Lab at SPIN

The LAB trains emerging technologists and entrepreneurs; ready young adults for family-wage jobs; engage the imagination of preschool, elementary, middle and high school students; and offers culturally relevant programming.

Our Impact

SPIN creates STEM opportunities for communities of color through high quality programming that engages families, uplifts communities, and empowers students. We know that while King County is a STEM-rich economy, STEM jobs, training, and education are sorely lacking in South King County, home to our region’s most diverse communities who are at the highest risk of displacement. This area is SPIN’s home base and primary focus. We are committed to creating and promoting equitable access to opportunity and increasing diversity in the STEM field through community led education and training.
